Graduates | UEFA MIP Programme

They were once lauded for their excellence and exploits on the field of play. Now some of football’s highest-achieving players are paving new ground for the sport’s next generation – by transforming the strengths with which they mastered the beautiful game into effective management skills that will help shape its future.

UEFA, European football’s governing body, is at the heart of this movement. The UEFA MIP programme has, so far, been awarded to more than 50 graduates in cities all around the world. The programme, which celebrated its first graduates in 2017, sees former professional players complete seven week-long sessions over the course of 20 months, including an internship and Managerial Report.

Once completed, participants are awarded an executive master’s degree by the University of Limoges, including 60 ECTS credits, and has seen many MIP alumni go on to fill respected roles within the world of football administration, analysis, and management. The course is available to multilingual students in partnership with Birkbeck, University of London.

“It is great for us to have good intentions, a good experience, but also knowing what’s our objective and what we want to give to the people of football.”
