Football for…

Education, Expertise, Integrity

Welcome to the MIP Alumni Association

A gateway for former professional footballers to stay active in the sport, the Master for International Player (MIP) Alumni Association is a growing community of thought leaders and executives whose passions lie in developing the beautiful game – on and off the pitch – through the promotion of three core values: education, expertise, and integrity.

With the backing of European football’s governing body UEFA, the programme aims to unite and educate communities within, and beyond, the sport. As a result, MIP alumni are working together on new and improved career pathways for existing and future ambassadors to help enrich the global game, as well as to expand their scope of experience post-retirement.

UEFA MIP Programme

Every member of the MIP Alumni Association is a holder of the UEFA MIP programme. The body’s education programme was established by the first graduates of the course in 2017 and is designed to equip ex-players with the tools they need to transition into the sport’s executive and off-field management roles.

Leadership, discipline, and commitment are all hallmarks of trophy-winners – but these traits can also be transferred into other fields. The alumni welcome applications for candidacy from those who are committed to high-level performance inside and outside the footballing arena and wish to continue their support for the game and its future.
